With hundreds of camp sites and thousands of individual spaces, Spain is literally dotted with camp sites which provide accommodation at reasonable rates. The cost varies according to the location, category, services and facilities provided, season, size of your tent and the number of occupants. Expect to pay an average of £10 per night for the hire of the pitch for a tent and two people. Campsites are graded and facilities at a first class site will be excellent and especially good for families with children.
Many campsites in Spain are very well-equipped to cater to every need, packed with activities that include tennis, football, volleyball, badminton, basketball, boules, fishing, windsurfing, golf, horse riding, karting, microlite flights, disco, scuba diving, snorkeling and of course, huge swimming complexes. Many of the camps feature restaurants, supermarkets, laundries and bars too!
Because you can buzz around by car on a camping holiday Spain, lots of interesting sights can be visited quite easily and at a time that suits you. Spain is sure to have something to please everyone - historical buildings, museums, art galleries, amusement and theme parks, water parks to name but a few. Many travel companies are offering camping holidays in some of the most spectacular and pretty scenery that Spain has to offer.
Spain's has a beautiful coastline that is full of contrasting scenery; the unique rugged coastline of the Costa Verde has many inviting sandy beaches and a wealth of sights to see, while the craggy headlands and yellow ochre cliffs of the Costa Brava, or 'Wild Coast', plunge down to long, golden beaches, hidden coves and fishing ports. A Camping Holiday Spain is great for budding photographers! Enjoy the lively nightlife of the modern resorts, or travel inland and discover delightful mountain villages. You do not have to camp in a camp site but remember that uncontrolled camping is forbidden in and around many towns and in some parts of the country.
